After a long night of monitoring the situation we have decided to OPEN today Friday May 16, 2014 and resume our normal operating hours.

We believe that in a very small way, we have a responsibility to our community to bring a little bit of normalcy to the day.

The Cocos fire has now burned 1,200 acres and is 5% contained according to the information posted by CalFire here.

Air quality in Escondido continues to be marginal but has improved considerably since yesterday afternoon.

We would like to offer any police, fire or other emergency personnel that is in need of a hot meal and/or a cold beverage to come in as our guest.
